Cristiano Ronaldo is quite possibly the most competitive footballer in the world.

The Real Madrid superstar strives to be the best in every single way, something which has undoubtedly helped him to achieve so much success in his astonishing career to date.

The Portuguese forward yearns to be quicker, stronger, more skilful and more lethal in front of goal than all of his peers - and, on current form, nobody would suggest otherwise.
Quite rightly, he is considered as the best footballer on the planet at this moment.

But there seems to be one small thing that Ronaldo is a little insecure about, one minor thing that irks him: his height.
In months gone by, CR7 has been caught standing on his tippy-toes during pre-match team photos, desperately searching for that extra couple of inches in order to gain some vertical advantage over his fellow Real Madrid players.
 And he’s been at it again. This time, in Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Liverpool in the Champions League.
The 6’ 1” Ronaldo could be seen on the back row during Real’s team photo, alongside the rather strapping Karim Benzema.
But just to make sure he looked taller than his team-mates he leaned forward on his tippy-toes and even looked to be pushing the pint-sized Luka Modric down.

For what it's worth, the ruse works: Benzema is actually, at 6'2", a bit taller than his more famous team-mate.
But looking at these pictures, you'd think that the French striker was actually Ronaldo's runty brother!
One good thing has come out of it all: Ronaldo's friends and family all know what to get him for Christmas this year. A pair of Cuban heels to stick in his boots and save him from doing the old tiptoe trick again.
